games

Lydia wants to play games so bad, but we don't have any kids games yet. So, today we made up our owns games. Game #1....snowman playing cards. We put one snowman in a bowl and then gave him friends. We kept them all the same in the bowl until we got to the end and ran out of matches.

Game #2...sort the colored letters/numbers into bowls. She knows all of her colors and did a great job with this game. Maybe we'll ask for kids games for Christmas or her birthday!

Hope you are all enjoying this holiday season! We are sure having fun around here....decorating, baking, waching holiday movies, sitting by the fire, and just playing and spending time together. It's so much fun this year because Lydia likes to be involved in everything that is going on...I love it!! Next year they will probably both want to help!!

Potty Training Baby

I found Lydia in the bathroom one day potty training her baby. I asked her what she was doing and she said baby had to go potty. So, baby was sitting on the potty, and Lydia was sitting on the floor reading books to her to pass the time! It made me smile cause this is exactly what I do when she has to go #2 and takes forever! I took a few pictures and then got the video camera out so I could record her actually reading to baby. Don't worry....baby got wiped and even washed her hands!!!

special projects

I have recently started some projects that I will be taking to craft fairs, etc. One project is these super cute letters. I started by making a "w" for us...to get some practice. Then, I made initials for my brother's kiddos~Lily, Dylan and McKenzie. Then, I made letters for my new nephew~Ty. I have a few orders that I'm working on, so maybe I'll post pictures of them later.
Stayed tuned for more special projects......

hank's 6 month pics

Hank Arthur Wettstein

Hank is actually 7 months now, but I am just finding the time to post his 6 month pics. He is sitting up on his own, and loves to sit with a basket of toys in front of him. He really isn't trying to crawl yet, which is just fine with me. He is a super happy little boy. His sister keeps him very entertained. He is always watching her and she can make him giggle better than anyone. We all enjoy tickling him because he is very ticklish pretty much anywhere! It's great! He is still sleeping great. To bed at 8...up once to eat...up for the day around 8. How could a momma complain. Hank started eating baby food once he turned 6 months, and as you can tell from the pictures, he is doing great with it. He eats cereal in the morning, a fruit and veg for lunch and dinner and cereal again before bed. He is still nursing, but with all that food, not near as much. We continue to enjoy him and can't believe how fast the time goes...our baby is growing way too fast. We are forever thankful that God gave him to us! We love you bubbers!

corn corn and more corn

Uncle Curt and Aunt Larisa brought us three big garbage sacks of sweet corn. We sat outside one morning and shucked a bag of it before Ed got home. Lydia was actually a really big help. She thought it was fun and we got the whole bag done before Ed got home!! Hank slept for the first part of shucking and then we kept him entertained with a piece of corn that he chewed and sucked on. I'm pretty sure he got a kernel in his mouth in the above picture.

This summer has went by fast. Lydia turned 2 and some days definitely acts 2. She has been having some big issues with sleeping. We spend many many minutes/hours getting her to stay in her bed and go to sleep. She is also getting up in the night again and doesn't want to go back to her bed. So, we are running on a little less sleep than usual, but we're getting by.

Luckily, Hank is a great little sleeper. Lydia can throw a screaming fit outside his door, and he just sleeps right through it....thank you Lord!! He is 6 months old already and is so so happy. He is almost sitting up and has started eating cereal and fruits. He laughs all the time and is extremely ticklish! And he loves his sissy!!

Big Girl Bed

Daddy took the side off the crib and made it into a big girl bed. She was able to get out of the crib anyway, so we thought we might as well switch her over. I guess my baby girl isn't quite a baby anymore! So sad...but she is a pretty cute toddler if I do say so myself!

She wasn't so sure about Daddy messing with her stuff at first. She gets a little wacked out if you move her stuff around...I found this out when I tried to rearrange her room...YIKES!

Here she is, all ready for bed. We said prayers with her and out we went. Then the fun began....

And finally....this is what we got!! So cute when they're asleep.

We didn't want to sign off without a picture of our little man. Hank is getting so big and is such a good baby. He is making so many noises and is developing his own little personality. He is into sucking his fingers or whatever else he can get in his mouth. Today I found him in his bed on his back, which tells me that he obviously rolled over! Can't wait to see him do it with my own eyes!

We are so blessed and enjoy each day with the family God has given us! Although some days are more difficult than others, we cherish this time when they are little because we know we'll never get it back! We hope this finds each of you well and enjoying God's precious gift of life!

Hank's Dedication

Hank was dedicated at church on Sunday. He was such a good little boy up there! We were so thankful to have all of our family there with us! I think we filled up like 5 rows?!?!

Pastor Phil does an amazing job with the kiddos. Hank didn't mind being handed over to him at all. Pastor Phil even liked his "coat of many colors". I almost laughed when he said it because Daddy barely let him out of the house in it! Not manly enough!?!?

Mommy and her babies! And Lydia with her baby too!!

We are so very blessed!
